The Dent comic book series started in 2004. After reading Summer Blonde, an Optic Nerve collection by Adrian Tomine, I was quickly inspired to put my own comics into a similar format. I liked the fact that Adrian's work (and many other cartoonists who I found out about later) focussed on the literature aspect of comics; it was also nice that I wasn't looking at another superhero in spandex tights. After about a month of drawing, white-outing and writing, I finished a 20-page book, therefore making Dent #1.

After finishing Dent #2 and Dent #3, I realized I was serious about this medium and needed a website up and running so I could sucessfully self-publish Dent. This website is for fans of Dent to visit. So, with all that said and done, I'll give this series a shot and if by chance you realize that there hasn't been an update in a while, don't be dissipointed...I'm not being lazy, it's just taking me a long time to complete a series of pages.

Joseph Cotsirilos was born May 26, 1991. He has been writing, drawing and publishing Dent since 2004, when he was in 6th grade. He still continues to publish work today and currently lives in Berkeley, California where he goes to highschool.
